FDA approves Cialis for treatment of BPH

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of Cialis in the treatment of thesymptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) in cases in which the conditions occur simultaneously. BPH common symptoms include difficulty in beginning to urinate, a weak urine stream, sudden urge to urinate and more frequent urination including at night.

Three separate studies have confirmed that Cialis has a positive effect on BPH - as measured using the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) - and, of course, also simultaneously treats any ED problem.

Scott Monroe, director of the FDA Division of Reproductive and Urologic Products said: “BPH can have a big impact on a patient’s quality of life”. Many older men suffer from BPH and Cialis now offers another treatment option, especially for those who also have ED.
